Abbeydale has a public access defibrillator installed in the entrance to the Clubhouse next to the lift, thanks to the British Heart Foundation. The BHF funded the defib due to the high numbers of people on site at the Sports Club and is available to members and the general public.

As part of the funding, the Club is running training sessions on how to deliver CPR and also in use of the defib.  The course is hands on with training on mannequins so come dressed in relaxed clothing.

The training will be held at Abbeydale Sports Club at various times during 2024 and anyone is welcome to attend the training which is free and available to members and non members. The
sessions last about 90 minutes
