Cricket

Sheffield Collegiate Cricket Club is the premier cricket club in South Yorkshire and has an illustrious history dating back to its formation in 1881. Running womens and girls teams as well as mens and boys teams,  new members are always welcome. The club is based at Abbeydale Sports Club.

Junior Cricket is on every Friday and starts at 6pm. Just turn up and register.

Abbeydale is the home of the Michael Vaughan Cricket Academy and the Joe Root Cricket School, running coaching sessions for boys and girls from 6 to 11 years on Friday evenings from Mid April.  

The academy is a great evening for the whole  family to enjoy the cricket, the open space and the big family BBQ.

National Club Cricket Champions in 2000 and many times winners of the various leagues and cups for which it competes.  The Abbeydale ground is the last Sheffield ground to host Yorkshire CCC first class matches.

All members and guests are welcome to use the well stocked clubhouse with a full bar, featuring fine wines, hand pulled ales and bar meals.
